I upgrade to xubuntu 12.04. So far it is working okay but I didn't
test it enough yet.
The first time I booted xubuntu 12.04, it started with "INPUT NOT
SUPPORTED" but only briefly and then it booted into the correct
resolution for my monitor. I don't yet know if it will boot into the

xubuntu 11.10 "input not supported" on Acer X193W LCD monitor
To man
Someone told me it's a problem with my motherboard. It doesn't identify
the monitor. It calls the monitor "Default" and gives 1024*768 rez. The
perfect identification is Acer X193W LCD. Sometimes it gets identified
as Acer Technologies and then it gives the correct rez 1440*900. I also
have a probl
