I see the same bug in Ubuntu 13.10 x64.
When I want to connect to Cisco VPN from my work, the group password is saved,
but when I want to connect to VPN from my home, I need to type this group
password every time alongside with my token.

I did upgrade to 12.04, but the problem unfortunately became worse (see
bug 1013650 for notes on my experience).

Imported profile loses gr
network-manager-vpnc has had a facilty to import group passwords
properly for a while now. Assuming you've since upgraded to another
release, can you still reproduce the issue?

Workaround for this bug appears to be:
- just after the Import has finished, select "show password" check box and copy
the password.
- Click save as before,
- edit the configuration just created and select vpn tab
- paste the password into the empty group password field.
