I found a workaround in case anyone's interested. By redirecting stderr to a
file.
It would be something like: gnome-open myfile.pdf 2> FileWithAllTheWarnings &&
rm FileWithAllTheWarnings
Doesn't fix the problem, but at least you can now open pdf files from
the terminal without getting all those
The error messages seem to come from a call to gtk_widget_set_sensitive
in the callback function ev_sidebar_document_changed_cb - on line 518 of
shell/ev-sidebar.c, when it is called after a new document is loaded:
gtk_widget_set_sensitive (GTK_WIDGET (sidebar->priv->notebook), TRUE);
