Jep that's true, AFAIK you need to delete the old entry from
"/home/USER/.config/autostart/" and then copy "/etc/xdg/autostart/alarm-
clock-applet.desktop" to that place.
An alternative is to use the GUI for editing autostarts and just change
the command to "--hidden".

Need to reopen as it should be "--hidden" instead of "--hide" and that
disables autostart completely on precise so far.

I agree with this, I always need to move the window, then close it. It
isn't critical, but it would be nice to start it hidden
