Thanks. In any case, bug reports must be filed with Apport, as it saves
a lot of time that's normally wasted ping-ponging between
triager/reporter, asking the same questions over and over again. We

Please disregard that, I managed to track it down.
The user interface mess is caused by the SyncKolab addon I have installed.
When disabling it, everything looks normal.

I didn't report with Apport in this case because it exposes a lot of
unnecessary private information (system logs etc.), but you are right, I
should have included info about addons and other stuff.

with Apport ("ubuntu-bug thunderbird"), as it attaches information about
your profile (extensions, some prefs etc). The screenshot shows that
your UI has been modified by something anyway, as the URL is normally
displayed to t
