I think I can report a lot more... all of them are gone.. in gnome shell
there are present!

@Chris: i know I can do that also on the shell... but why I use a GUI?
It is for ppl. who don't like it complicated... its mostly for my wife,
that she can put in the cd-image to use here favorite software. But also
it is nice to use for me.
And also it is not the only icon what is missed

To the OP, you could use the cdemu client in the meantime:
sudo apt-get install cdemu-client
And to use just type:
cdemu load 0 imagefile.iso
