modules-alsa-generic...
Just go to:
Menu / System / Administration / Synaptic Package Manager
And search and mark for installation:

I have the exact same issue, with the same Webcam, Logitech Webcam Pro
9000. Worked perfectly on 11.04, but now no audio or chipmunk audio. Am
unable to use Skype ( which I use for business ) at the moment as

I see the same problem.
To get the sampling right for pulseaudio, I had to modify the default-
sampling-rate in daemon.conf in ~/.pulse and /etc/pulse to 96000.
Restarting pulseaudio fixed the problem when using arecord and aplay.
Skype seems to reset the sampling rate so that I still get the chip
affects ubuntu/pulseaudio
status incomplete
Please run the following command in a terminal, with your webcam plugged
in, so we can get some more information about your hardware: apport-
collect 871543
