@Ivan, you don't need the alsa-source package, please uninstall it.
Instead try reinstalling linux-image-3.0.0-12-generic-pae package to see if
that makes the
/lib/modules/3.0.0-12-generic-pae/kernel/sound/pci/hda/snd-hda-intel.ko
file show up again.

Hi,
sorry for the lack of update from me, but it seems my problem has
disappeared.
I can't reproduce it.
The sound card is now correctly detected at each boot. I'm using the
standard LightDM (the new logon screen) and neither with unity or gnome
3 has the pb occurred anymore.
So for me, this bu

assistant alsa-source
sudo dpkg-reconfigure alsa-source

in your case, your problem is that the snd-hda-intel module is not
loaded. What is the result of "sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel"?
