I get keyboard / mouse lockups on an acer aspire one 722 if both the
atl1c atheros ethernet driver and the broadcom wifi driver are loaded.
No lockup for ethernet only; no lockup for wifi only. Happens on 11.10
and 12.04 alpha 1.

I am able to reproduce this with Natty also, so it's not an Oneiric
regression.
Still have not managed to boot a mainline kernel on this machine.

Oh, curiously, I can get to the rescue shell with the mainline
kernel...I'll try and see what's actually stalling the normal boot...

I tried booting mainline 3.0.4 and am getting the same failure...I'm not
sure what's different in the production oneiric kernel that's making it
boot properly, but 3.0.4 is definitely failing to boot.

I just tried v3.1-rc9-oneiric from the mainline builds PPA. The mainline kernel
won't even boot on this laptop.
The boot process just hangs with:
INFO: rcu_sched_state detected stall on CPU 1 (t=15000 jiffies)

I have not tried any previous releases on this machine, but believe the
issue has existed for a while as I see a lot of people in the forums and
in other distros forums solving the issue by blacklisting the atl1c
driver.
I can install a previous release to test it if you'd like, is there
