Hi, Paulo, The original bug reporter has a different issue than you do.
I would advise you to find a bug report similar to what you are
experiencing. I don't believe that this is a compiz-specific bug but
perhaps a GTK bug.

This problem happens in eog, audacious, firefox, basically each program
that dont open maximized, but try to fill the entire screen. It happen
since 11.10, then in 12.04 and now in 12.10 (my current version). This
is a screenshot of eog right next its open.
