I have a similiar problem here when trying to connect to GMail IMAP
server:
Failed to open folder.
The reported error was "You must be working online to complete this operation".
But I'm working online, direct connection, no proxy, fresh install (even
home directory), running oneiric 32 bit, Unit
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
