Can you reproduce this crash and attach the crash report found in
/var/crash? May be more useful as Sebastian Bacher was not able to grab
a useful crash report.

There is no indication to make sure that's a duplicate without the
backtrace, I'm un-duping for now. Let me know if you think that's wrong

Hi! Did your new application pull in a new version of gnome-panel?
Does it run in an applet in the panel?

which is probably due to a problem with linux on feisty at the moment,
could you try to get a backtrace
