I can confirm that. This problem was not triggered by nvidia driver
update. It'd be nice if someone got assigned to this bug...

Same here . I do not think it's nvidia-current that leads to this bug,
which seems to affect me since the last upgrade of unity and ubuntu-
desktop.

Restarting session (logging in and out) fixes the display. Unlock screen
and unity panels are not affected.

Also affecting me; it's pretty bad. It feels like a corrupt layer sized
to the screen is placed in between the unity launcher and the rest
(windows, desktop, pop up menus, etc.)
The only two interfaces displaying over the corrupt layer are the dash
and the switch-to window.
