To work around this bug, i first used sleep for 10 seconds. but doesn't always work on reboot. So i found that also putting terminal=true makes it work consistently every time. [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=Compiz Exec=compiz --replace Display=true Terminal=true X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay
