I can confirm this happens for me as well, so I'm going to go ahead and triage this bug. It looks like hdparm truncates at the first space, and the kernel probably has a maximum length that is too short. I'll see if I can find and fix it if I can find some time... ** Changed in: hdparm (Ubuntu)

Sorry, I didn't see your response as I have been a little busy lately, so the bug auto expired. The hdparm -i should at least agree with cat /sys/block/sda/device/model, so it seems there is a bug in hdparm, but even the kernel is not reporting the full model name, leaving off the "0G3" part, so
