'ondemand' makes the problem go away.

I have this problem, feisty up to date (so g-p-m is 2.17.91-0ubuntu1)
and I am experiencing this behavior for a while, when after the fresh
install of feisty on 20th of january, everything works properly.
My behavior: after gnome starts, cpu are both at 2 Ghz. If I go to Control
Center - Services
I rebooted and the problem remains: CPU is always at 100% even when idle.
If I run "sudo /etc/init.d/powernowd start" manually, it becomes fine.

When I logged in today I was running g-p-m 2.17.4; during the session, I
upgraded some packages, including g-p-m, then reported this bug :)
