Sorry for taking this long to get back to you, yes
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist is the right place to do it. Can you take a
photo of the panic so we can figure out which module is causing this?

Sorry, not only do i get a kernal panic if it installed the machine
completely freezes. With no escape sequences working, and no tty1-6.
So im not quite sure how i can figure out its PCI information.

Its a Feisty install with the 2.6.20 kernal and it says the word kernal
panic in terminal 1.

Thanks for your bug report. What particular version of Ubuntu and the
kernel are you using? I also interpret your description as meaning that
you have a kernel panic on bootup when the device is connected. Is that
correct?
