I'm also affected and getting error messages like "cannot submit urb 0, error
-28: not enough bandwidth"
The recoignition of my usb x-fi is like "usb 1-1.4.4: >new full-speed USB
device number 8 using ehci_hcd".

Note that Creative released two similiar cards:
Sound Blaster X-Fi 5.1 USB (SB1090)
Sound Blaster X-Fi 5.1 USB (SB1095)
Both looks the same.
I don't know what makes the difference, except for remote control (I can't
configure it properly... :/)

I can confirm some problems with the X-FI USB 5.1.
When I play a sound file mixed up to 5.1 and want to watch a flash video
simultaneously the sound becomes distorted. If I play the file only in stereo
it's ok. I researched a bit and found out, that my X-Fi USB is only recognized
as a USB
