this is just a workaround
the bug is pulseaudio mute the "PCM playack switch" but never unmute
no audio for most ac97 2.1 codeces and those early hda codecs
(compatible with ac97 mixer) with pcm playback switch

Hi Raymond,
Your patch only affects the state of PCM when PulseAudio is muted, so it is
unlikely to fix this particular problem.
On other systems it might prevent proper muting or powersaving, so I believe it
should not be applied.
