Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cfv
I've updated cfv to version 1.18.1-0ubuntu2, but there was error:
# LC_ALL=C dpkg --configure --pending
Setting up cfv (1.18.1-0ubuntu2) ...
/usr/bin/python: can't open file '/usr/lib/python/compileall.py': [Errno 2] No
such file or directory
dpkg: error processing cfv (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Now cfv is not working:
$ cfv
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/cfv", line 2, in <module>
    import cfv
ImportError: No module named cfv

The problem is that there is no /usr/lib/python*/site-packages/cfv.py in
cfv_1.18.1-0ubuntu2_all.deb

** Affects: cfv (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
