Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
I can run under Ubuntu Classic with no effects, but the display bugs out
all of the time, leaving black squares and strange artifacts all over
the desktop when shifting between desktops or moving application-windows
around.

what happens if you log into Ubuntu Classic (no effects)? If it works
then go to CompizConfig Settings manager and turn off open gl and all of
the things dependent on it, log out, and log back in into Ubuntu
Classic. If this works then you have the same problem as me. It should
work like this, b
