I experienced this same problem with X packages on upgrade from dapper
to edgy using CL apt-get.
"dpkg -i --force-overwrite" worked for me, thanks sooo much!

So it looks like the Feisty upgrade is trying to upgrade installed
packages and failing. The reporter has filed three reports with the
same error message on different packages. I will use the report and we
can make a list of affected packages, plus get some confirmation before
it is confirmed.
