I apologize, it seems I did not google enough before asking!
I just fixed the bug with
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libebook-1.2.so.10 /usr/lib/libebook-1.2.so.9
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libedataserver-1.2.so.14
/usr/lib/libedataserver-1.2.so.13

That option comes from nautilus-sendto (https://launchpad.net/nautilus-
sendto) instead of Shotwell. In Nautilus when you right-click on a file
or folder and choose Send To... do you see Email as an option?
