I think I see this issue as well on my thinkpad T16; very anoying. I use
the current ubuntu 11.10. Anything I can do to provide additional
information or is there a known solution for the bug? To run the apport-
collect command I would need to open a new bug.

On my T61, I see this about half the time I try to resume:
legacy_resume(): pnp_bus_resume+0x0/0x70 returns -19
I don't use an ultratray hard disk, just a DVD burner.

I guess there're something wrong in kernel driver, which didn't handle
power management of hard disk in ultratray correctly.

Update: this seems related to the mobile hard disk in ultratray
(replacing a previous cd/dvd rom in my T61).
Sometimes, when Ubuntu failed to suspend/resume, I could make it
continue working by hot removing the hard disk in ultratray.
