Same issue with version 2.0.1 (version from ubuntu 12.10). I have a directory

Same as comment #1 - I add the folder with hundreds of sub-folders
(around 350 albums in total, converting to VBR MP3 from FLAC), it
processed the files quickly, takes about 30 minutes to process the tags,

reproduceable like this:
- Start soundconverter
- Add directory with many subdirectories (not sure if the number matters, I
just have many)
- Start conversion
- Cancel conversion after some time (probably right away is also

I think this is related to #940648.
I have the same issue but the conversion does NOT continue to take place in the
background.
Once or twice I have had the first file convert only as in #940648.
It seems to vary depending on how much you feed it basically.
