I can confirm the problem of missing icons in almost every KDE-
application with the global menu in Unity. But in case of Inkscape: I
suppose it's not a bug of appmenu-qt but appmenu-gtk (e.g. Bug #882464
).

I see a similar behavior in Inkscape. The widgets look OK, but most of
the menu icons are missing (see attached screenshot). I presume this is
the same underlying issue?
