Hey anuraggau,
You filed this bug report against natty, but I see it's still open and
doesn't appear to have much activity recently. So, now that oneiric
is released and stable, this may be a good point for you to upgrade
and re-test if this issue is still present there.

I have done two things and the bug seems to have gone away (but I have to do
some more testing in the next few days). I updated to a newer Kernel:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kernel-ppa/ppa
sudo apt-get update
I believe it is 2.6.39-1 generic. WARNING: This is more bleeding edge, so if

Absolutely none. I had updated the OS to it current build and the
problem still exists. It in fact happened just yesterday; lost all my
work and it was not funny. Thinking of falling back to 10.04/.10 till
11.10 comes out.

This bug has been annoying me since 1004 (910 was ok). As long as I remember,
the bug was in xorg package. I can't provide you with the number, but the
sudden logout occurred due to something like switching to an empty
thread/socket (?). On my nvidia ION nettop sudden logouts happened frequently
Same problem, running 11.04 x64 on ASUS laptop. Extremely annoying and
fairly random. I am usually typing when this occurs.

day by day. Also there is issue of hang while leaving system idle for
20-30 min.
