Christian Carlsson, this bug report is being closed due to your last
comment regarding this being fixed with an update. For future reference
you can manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the current
status in the yellow line and then choosing a new status in the revealed
drop down box.
I don't have the problem any longer. I switched to OSX and used it for
6+ months. Then after going back and updating to 11.10 and updating all
packages the problem appears to be gone. So I'm not sure what caused it,
but for now I'm happy.

I have the same problem. When the freeze starts, the mouse is getting
slower and slower, i can still minimize windows, but i cant start
programs or do ctrl+alt+fX. Then after a few seconds the system freezes
completely and my mouse does not move anymore. The only thing i can do
is restart by pushin

This bug affects me on my desktop-pc, too.
Problem is, it's a total freeze, there is no log made at all, syslog and
kern.log both show nothing.
My system is fully updated (but not upgraded to 11.10).
Kernel is 2.6.38-11-generic
RAM: 8 GiB

It seems to be caused by the wireless network (I use an airport
express). I can't get it to freeze when I connect by wire. Both
WifiSyslog.txt (see attachment) and kern.log show (the same) error
messages just before it freezes, see for example at May 9 10:25 or May
9 10:42. They're slightly differ
