Please check your home router and see which channel it is set up to use.
If the channel is greater than 11 (2.462GHz) then you're seeing the
regulatory domain bug which first appeared in natty for me (bug 713528),
but is also described by the older bug 462466.

I started from USB and everything worked fine. So I removed the
restricted driver from my install and installed it again. The computer
asked me to restart. I tried this without restarting and then everything
worked fine, but after I restarted it stopped working and is back to the
same sittuation.
Okey I will try to start it from USB because there is no CD.
Why is this a problem with the driver if it worked with 10.4 and works at
school with 11.4?

could you try to start Ubuntu from the Live cd just to test if the issue
happens there too.
