Sorry for inactivity. Unity 2D was a fallback solution, but then I
started running it as normal to avoid some minimal changes. The commands
in comment #8 solved the problem. Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem as José and commands at #8 solved the problem.
Also my hardware isn't able to run Unity 3D so, after upgrade, it fallback (for
what I remember).

Olivier, I can confirm the above commands fixed the issue.
My hardware will not run Unity 3d and it fallsback to Gnome on upgrade
and installed 2d Unity from Synaptic Packet Manager.

the commands I suggested in comment #8, and that fixed the issue?
Also, do you remember if you were logged in Unity 2D as a fallback
solution because logging in to Unity didn’t work because your hardware

Thanks for the feedback José Antonio. For some reason, it seems that the
default settings for the launcher were not applied to the session. Could
it be that you were logged in Unity 2D as a fallback solution because
logging in to Unity didn’t work because your hardware didn’t meet the
requirements?

It happens since Ubuntu runs. It is like if all the windows were behind the
launcher.
