Alphag33k, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could
you please provide the information following

Hi guys,
What other information can I provide for this?
The problem remains, even in Oneiric Ocelot. I just put my computer in
Hibernate, and had to restart my whole machine before being able to
write this comment!
Can someone take a look at this problem?
Many thanks,
Ryan.

Hi guys,
@Alphag33k: Thank you, I have tried this, but it cannot get wireless
active again on my system after hibernate.
@kubunsero: Thanks aswell. I have entered both of the following
separately into the terminal:
sudo touch /etc/pm/power.d/pcie_aspm
sudo touch /etc/pm/power.d/wireless

Hello everyone.
I solved my problem as follows:
For the wifi working after hibernate or suspend, I applied the solution given
by Wolfgang Kufner in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/689004
(specifically the solution described in comment # 9)
With this solution:
sudo touch /e
I've found that disabling and then re-enabling the wireless from the
network icon can get the wifi working again without a restart.

Hi there,
I'm having the same problem.
I have wireless working fine. I close my laptop to make it hibernate.
When I open it again, wireless signal is gone, and nothing can make
Natty Narwhal find it again. The only thing that will work is restarting
the system.
I use a Compaq Presario C700.
