I never thought to look up "doodle" in Synaptic. Now I understand why
its indexing so often. I repair ID3 tags daily by the dozens. Just
wish it would pause while doing other intensive tasks on the computer.

Forgot to mention in last post...
I UN-installed EasyTAG. It was very difficult to understand the geometry
behind complex meta data ID3 tags and made a mess of about 2,000 mp3's.
EasyTAG had limited help internally and on the web. I had very specific
demands I hoped EasyTAG could repair.

Friday July 15, 2011. I don't know enough yet to feel 'comfortable'
messing around with Linux code. I'm using Ubuntu Studio v10.04 LTS 64
bit. IDJC still freezes with "doodle" and "Python" both taking turns
randomly, yet with no predictability as to when they're going to use
100% CPU.

I've noticed 'doodle' kinda starts and stops at different times of the day with
no specific times. Yesterday, May 10, 2011, because of a major screwup on my
part running EasyTAG v2.1.6, I corrected the mistakes over a 4 day span. I'm
guessing (and hope) 'doodle
