Sorry for me, it seems that the upstream has not prepared for "--as-
needed",
I have ask upstream for a patch, now they give me an "Quick-and-dirty
patch"
I attached it here. May be it useful.

3.12.1+dfsg1-2 builds fine on most archs that Debian supports, but we
are not sure whether the doxygen issue is still valid. Please sync the
newer version and try again?
