may have been fixed
I'm noticing this. I can get it working again by hitting alt-F2 and
running compiz --replace.

I got it in the 32-bit version also. Interestingly enough, prior to
updating the system (fresh install) performing the actions above caused
Compiz to crash. After the update, the title bar wen solid black (no
notifiers or anything), whereas it became invisible (or disappeared) on
my other system.
I have encountered this bug also on 11.04 Ubuntu (64-bit Intel), and
will try to duplicate it on a 32-bit system later tonight. I did,
however, discover that logging out and back in does get rid of the
problem. It's not the most elegant workaround, but it works.

This is not a problem with ubiquity but rather with compiz or your video
driver. assigning to compiz.
