Similiar problem here. I have Dell XPS, and Kingston 2GB card and
GoodRam 4GB card. Neither of them works on my natty. To access them I
have to boot windows or use netbook (with Meego installed).

Using an identical kingston 2gb sd card, I was able to auto-mount the
card. Looks like the sd adapter on one of them was bad.

Updated to the latest packages, my 2 Gb Kingston card gives the same
error. However, using a different Kingston 1Gb card it is able to be
successfully auto-mounted.

Definitely still having issues with it even after updating everything
this morning - not really seeing much else worth reporting in the logs,
so I'll just have to chalk it up to Beta Blues.

MBybee, you have a different issue (probably an userspace one judging by
your dmesg snippet, which is fine), as you don't have these errors
reported here:

Something similar is happening to me as well - 3 different SDHC cards
(kingston and sandisk) on an Acer Aspire 5742. I can mount them fine if
I use an external USB card reader.
The disk utility shows them, but they attempt to mount to /
This is all that shows up in dmesg on card insertion:

Is the issue specific to the sd card being used? (that is, the problem
happens with other sd cards, or with just only with Kingston 2GB MicroSD
Flash Card)
Would be good to test also with maverick kernel from bug 730820 just as
a sanity check, but the fix there is on natty kernel checking the
sour
