individuals have different workflows, and if this feature was removed

It is not enough that System Settings is placed in the Launcher, though
it is handy. The OT's suggestion should be implemented; other settings
just as Monitors, Mouse and Touchpad, etc should be hidden in the Dash,
despite being individual applications. The current situation makes
finding settings
yes, System Setting is into launcher, into indicator and into Application lense
as well.
More, it's a beauty to use. No reason to clutter Application lense with
additional ~20 icons.
In Oneiric it's a wall of icons where you loose yourself into.
