OK close this bug. I am running Ubuntu 7.04 and Skype 1.4.0.74 Beta in the
meantime and it doesn't crash.

I'm ok with the bug staying open until you find a satisfactory answer to your
problem. No big deal.
Let me just say that Skype spends a great deal of money obfuscating
their code so that no one can find valuable debugging info to analyze
the problem and find a solution. I kinda thin
I am OK with closing, if the reason for my crash-report is also a
hardware failure. Could someone look at it, please? I am not familiar
with interpreting crash reports.
In the case my error is not due to a hardware failure, what then? Can an
admin open a new bug report with my crash report as atta
In my particular case it was due to hardware failure in my machine. You
might consider closing this bug in case Gerhard is ok with it.

sorry for the lack of info.
In my case it happens after a few minutes of using skype, can be
launched from the terminal or clicking in the icon.
If I do it from terminal the error I get is
