message so I can't really say what your problem was. Since you don't
have the logfiles though not much can be done, so as you suggest, I'll

Sorry about not answering earlier. Unfortunately I do not have any of
the files, as I decided to go back to using ubuntu. If I at some point
have the time I'll try kubuntu again, but that will not happen soon. If
nobody else has seen this problem, I'd propose to close it for now.

Can you please try to get those log files if you can still reproduce the
error? (Otherwise, if you managed to install the system, you will find
the files in /var/log/installer )

/var/log/installer/syslog only exists on Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper. Thanks in
