Hey William, I'm pretty sure I've fixed this in the very latest release
of Unity and Nux in natty (I ran into lots of these crashes as well). So
I'm marking as fix-released, but please re-open if it's still an issue.

it doesn't always happen, or at least can't find the pattern... has
somethng to do with typing a search then clicking somewhere outside the
box.

Is the segfault reproducible if you hit the search widget? Or was it a
