False positives should be submitted using this form, and not as a bugreport:

That form requires you to attach the file which is causing false positive, mark
the "a false positive" checkbox, and write some comments describing what it is.

I could, but it's more efficient for you to file a bug there directly so you
can answer any questions they have directly without someone who has nothing to
contribute to the solution playing middle man.
If you want it fixed (they are usually pretty responsive), file the bug.
It's your choice.
Please excuse me if I sound curt, but there is something you can do
about this. You can forward this bug report upstream. You shouldn't
expect users to do the legwork on bug reports. I believe some programs
already support this.
