Guys! I have solved this. CLOSE this bug please...
Problem was somewhere else. I have very hot chipset - fan was in bad
shape and sometimes, it wouldn't work, or rotate only a little. In THAT
times (chipset was overheated) my sound went to the state I've mentioned
in my first contribution. Heh, ev
after total formating of HDD and installing brand new ubuntu, this
problem has dissapeard. you can close this... what about you Simon?

Yeah, that's the noise alright. The one I was having and described in a
previous post a few weeks ago was a deep noise (like the output from those
identity masking phone voice modulators)
But right now, I don't get any sound issues unless I change
volume/balance/subwoofer-volume or any setting in
I installed brand new ubuntu 10.10 and the problem is still present. I'm
desperate. I created a sample of what comes out from my speakers. Has
anybody know this "alien" sound?
