my setting on under the hood is set to UTF-8 I did not made that change this
somehow was set by default on the 11.04 install .
I think you guys need to make sure what is the default setting for this option
at least
but I have made those modifications and seems to have fixed.

This shows mojibake (broken text) for me too. In my settings I have
changed the default encoding ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8.
The problem in this case is that the author of the Web site has not
declared a text encoding ("character set"). Unfortunately, there's
nothing that can be fixed in Chromium - the b
I wonder if you changed the encoding-related setting in "under the
hood". You should leave that at ISO-8859-1 unless you know what it
does.

Well, I can definitely reproduce the bug on there. But can you link to
an example on a simpler Web site (i.e. one that doesn't require cookies
for the correct page to be displayed)? It's actually quite hard getting
a copy of the raw page in that instance.
