This was some sort of installation problem, rev. 1505 didn't change that
(although Mail applet related), so it's rather invalid then fix
committed.

First, update to version 0.4.1~bzr1505... Then log out from your session
and login again. Mail applet introduced a new configuration key lately
which might trigger bug #173696. Do you still have the crash after these
steps?
