Public bug reported: Binary package hint: usplash
When I start up my computer and switch to tty1 while the nice new usplash software is running, I seem to get a lot of debugging info from usplash. This litters the screen and continues to be seen even after usplash has finished its animation, and when you're trying to log in (which is sometimes confusing, as the login text is obscured by the debugging information). A small excerpt from the information: -- usplash: Using mode 800x600 Calling INT 0x1A (F000:FE6E) EAX is 0xB102 Calling INT 0x1A (F000:FE6E) EAX is 0xB10A -- It would be great if this info could be not sent at all, or sent into the bit bucket instead of to the screen, at least for those (few?) who sometimes prefer logging into text-only mode. ** Affects: usplash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Binary package hint: usplash - When I start up my computer and switch to tty1 while the nice new usplash software is running, I seem to get a lot of debugging info from usplash.
