Could you please describe how I would install a mainline kernel when my
root filesystem is inaccessible due to this bug? In order to re-install
10.10 and then install a mainline kernel I would have to delete this
partition to make space so I couldn't test the issue. As it stand I
have found no to

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream
