A little workaround to get access to kwallet:
1. Go to system configuration / advanced
2. Open the kwallet configuration and set show icon in system tray to off
3. Go to a console and do: killall kwalletmanager
4. start kwalletmanager in the console
After that the kwallet window should appear.
