That seems to be the thing. I tried using the facebook ID instead of my
email address and now e
please update your system. you are not using the latest empathy in Maverick.
After update delete all accounts in empathy and reboot/logout, then add
facebook account again and let us know if the problem persists.
PS: generally there are people with facebook authentication have facebook.com
