It looks like you are right, when I translate both single and plural at once I
do not get an error message.
The error that Launchpad gives is misleading, but where should I file a bug for
that?

I managed to get the same error, by translating this string and *not*
translating the plural pair of it (Current Hungarian[1]: ).
You should just translate *both* part of the plural strings.
The LP Translations UI is misleading, because it shows the error above
the first translation, and not abo
