Andreas Gölzer, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/c
I changed my laptop some ago so won't be able to test any change in recent
updates/upgrades.
I removed myself as being affected by the bug. Mabe it can get closed ?..

Hi everyone, behavior is also strange on the Idepad U110.
I Have to use 60 to 90 to get max brigthness. 100 gives hakf dark and below 50
is completly dark.
I'm having this issue since Ubuntu 9.10. Behaviour changed once but
remains strange in 11.04 (updated daily on my laptop).
