almost reached EOL and will only receive fixes for critical issues
anymore.

You're right! But right now I'm using swiftweasel which has this issue
too, and that package doesn't have any effect on it. Can somebody
explain me what's the problem?

Ok, isn't corrected. Now, Firefox showme the options to manage syndication,
but, if I select an application, Firefox don't execute them.
I tried selecting this script:
#!/bin/bash
echo "$1" > /home/janus/test
and the script is not executed.
My ubuntu firefox package is the 2.0+0dfsg-0ubuntu3.
This bug was corrected in the 2.0+0dfsg-0ubuntu3 version.
